We nominate 3 NGO for you to choose from:

Protect a woman

Provide shelter to a woman escaping domestic violence

The Challenge:

In this current COVID-19 crisis, Women's Community Shelters is experiencing a 25% increase in inquiries for safe accommodation for women and children who are homeless or escaping domestic violence. Existing services were already at full capacity, with more than 50% of women seeking shelter turned away due to a lack of beds. Across Australia, around 56,000 women are homeless each night, many with young children. Now, there are many more. Women unable to access shelters are left vulnerable, disconnected from community and support networks. Women’s Community Shelters is dedicated to providing women and children with a safe place to stay and an opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Support a child to recover

Provide specialised counseling for abuse

The Challenge:

Every night in Australia 46,000 children can’t sleep in their own beds because they are at risk of being abused or neglected.

In one-on-one therapeutic counseling, children are supported to understand the abuse was not their fault and they are worthy of love. Holding children in strong relationships, they come to trust their connection with caring people as a source of nurturing and comfort, not hurt and betrayal.

The Australian Childhood Foundation is a leading organisation, supporting children to recover from the trauma of abuse, neglect and family violence. The Foundation provides specialist support to help children heal and feel safe, while educating and empowering communities to safeguard children from abuse.

Help cancer patients

Facing their diagnosis with confidence

The challenge:

Thousands of Australians are diagnosed with cancer each year. It can be a frightening, isolating experience, and treatments often have harsh, visible side effects.

Look Good Feel Better delivers custom-made Confidence Kits to patient’s homes, empowering them to live as full a life as possible, by providing the tips and tricks to help manage the appearance-related effects of their treatment.

Kits include skincare and make-up products, to help patients deal with their changing physical appearance, plus an instruction booklet and DVD to guide them through the program.
